SHARED SERVICE CENTRES IN RUSSIA AND CIS
Shared Service Centres (SSC) are designed to reduce the cost of performing specific functions allocated to them, while maintaining and improving quality levels and efficiency. SSCs are expected to optimise the management of assigned business units, increase the transparency and reliability of information about their activities, and reduce maintenance costs through centralisation, harmonisation and standardisation. Moving to a Shared Services model is clearly a successful strategy for achieving significant savings across a wide variety of processes for the companies that do it well.
Incredible progress has been made in the shared services area in the past decade by Russian companies. Initial efforts in establishing the SSC model focused almost exclusively on the areas of finance and accounting. However, recent trends show SSCs expanding into other areas, such as information technology, human resources, and procurement. Companies pushing the functionality of the SSC model are seeking out, and finding, cost reduction and efficiency through innovative approaches to the Shared Services Model.
New and emerging trends in IT, HR and financial services being created in emerging SSC models will be the main topics of the 5th Annual Shared Services Event. This IC Energy event will be attended by representatives of the largest companies in Russia and the CIS focused on pushing the SSC model into new and innovative directions.
This IC|Energy conference is a unique platform for sharing experience and searching for new partners engaged in successful deployment and operation of SSCs.
